Your Rights As A Voter

You have the right to:

  1. Cast a ballot if you registered to vote before the close of registration.
  2. Cast a ballot if you are in line before the polls close. 
  3. Cast a provisional ballot if your name is not listed on the voter roll. 
  4. Cast a secret ballot free from intimidation.
  5. Receive a new ballot if you believe you made a mistake.
  6. Receive assistance in casting your ballot, if you are unable to vote without assistance. 
  7. Election materials in another language.*
  8. Receive assistance in your language from a bilingual poll worker.*
  9. Ask questions about election procedures and observe the elections process.
  10. Report any illegal or fraudulent activity to a local elections official or to state elections officials. 
*Note: if there are enough residents in your jurisdiction that warrant translation.
