With Election Day around the corner, it's important that you know your rights as a voter. If you encounter any trouble casting your ballot or have general questions about the voting process, call 888-VE-Y-VOTA (888-839-8682).

 

Voter's Bill of Rights

You have the right to cast a ballot if you registered to vote before the close of registration deadline.

You have the right to cast a ballot if you are in line before the polls close.

You have the right to cast a provisional ballot if your name is not listed on the voting rolls.

You have the right to cast a secret ballot free from intimidation.

You have the right to receive a new ballot if you believe you made a mistake.

You have the right to receive assistance in casting your ballot, if you are unable to vote without assistance.

You have the right to election materials in another language.*

You have the right to receive assistance in your language from a bilingual poll worker.*

You have the right to ask questions about election procedures and observe the elections process.

You have the right to report any illegal or fraudulent activity to a local elections official or to state elections officials (e.g. Secretary of State, Elections Board, etc.)

*Note: If there are enough residents in your jurisdiction that warrant translation.
