Woodland College hosts voter registration drive Tuesday

Woodland Community College, as part of Univision's "Ya es Hora.. Regístrate y Vota" ("It's Time, Register and Vote") civic engagement platform, will be holding a Voter Registration Drive on Tuesday, from 1 until 7 p.m.

The voter registration tables will be at the Main Quad on the WCC campus between Buildings 200 and 700, 2300 E. Gibson Road, Woodland. This is the first of four Voter Registration Drives that will be held throughout the region. The goal is to increase the number of registered voters in the local community and to get voters civically engaged for the 2012 elections.

This event is made possible thanks to the support of the city of Woodland and Mayor Art Pimentel, Univision, the Woodland League of Women Voters, Yolo County Clerk/Recorder Freddie Oakley, the Associated Students of WCC and numerous other volunteers.

The Yuba Community College District spans eight counties and nearly 4,200 square miles of territory in rural, north-central California.
